I have been reading Sherrie McGraw's book "The Language of Drawing, From an Artists Viewpoint" (Which is fanstastic!) Towards the end of the book she has a section of artists' work that inspires her, one of the artists is George Carlson. His work is absolutely amazing! I have been sketching a little differently, incorporating Sherrie Mcgraw's "draw the air around the figure" advice and George Carlson's style. I think my draughtsmanship skills have already improved. My thought process is such a major factor in how successful my work is. Surrounding myself with the highest quality art and the best books makes my work so much better!
